These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of rockstarcv.com, the RockstarCV Resume Builder, downloadable content, digital products, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are operated by RockstarCV (“RockstarCV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where you live to purchase from or enter a binding agreement with RockstarCV. If you use the Services for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. If applicable law permits a minor to use the Services only with a parent or guardian, that adult is responsible for the use.

2. What RockstarCV provides

RockstarCV provides resume templates, a browser-based resume editing and export tool, optional AI-assisted analysis, career-related content, and other digital products or services described on the relevant page. Features, template availability, formats, and access rules may vary by product and may change over time.

The Resume Builder is a self-service drafting and design tool. It is not an employment agency, recruiter, law firm, accounting firm, background-check provider, immigration adviser, or human-resources adviser.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account and purchase information, keep it current, protect your password and device, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by RockstarCV’s breach of a duty that cannot lawfully be excluded. We may require verification, suspend access, or reset credentials to protect the account or Services.

4. Your resume content and uploads

You retain ownership of the resume content, photographs, documents, and other material you submit (“User Content”). You give RockstarCV a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, process, convert, display, and transmit User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services or comply with law. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup cycles, transaction records, and legal retention duties.

You are solely responsible for making sure User Content is accurate, lawful, non-infringing, and appropriate to disclose. You must have permission to use photographs, references, testimonials, third-party personal information, trademarks, and other material you upload. Do not submit malware, unlawful content, confidential information you are not authorized to disclose, or unnecessary highly sensitive information.

We may reject, remove, quarantine, resize, convert, or delete uploads that violate these Terms, exceed technical limits, threaten the Services, or are no longer associated with an active account or resume.

5. Resume, ATS, career, and AI disclaimers

Templates, examples, suggestions, scores, and educational content are general tools only. Hiring decisions depend on employers, recruiters, applicant-tracking systems (ATS), job platforms, labor markets, qualifications, interviews, background checks, and many other circumstances outside RockstarCV’s control.

RockstarCV does not guarantee that a resume will pass an ATS, be complete or error-free, meet a particular employer’s requirements, produce interviews, secure employment, increase compensation, or achieve any other career result. You must review, fact-check, and approve every resume and export before using it.

AI Tailor is optional and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable output. AI scores are estimates, not decisions or guarantees. Do not rely on AI output as professional advice, and never submit an AI suggestion that invents or misstates your experience, qualifications, dates, achievements, or identity.

6. Purchases, prices, and access

Prices, taxes, included features, license scope, and the period or type of access are shown at checkout or on the product page. You authorize the selected payment provider to charge the amount shown. Access may begin after successful payment and fraud or account checks.

Digital products and access rights are licensed for your own use; they are not sold as intellectual property. Except where a product page expressly permits it, you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, share account access, publish editable template files, or use the Services to operate a competing template or resume-generation service.

Refund policy

Refunds may be issued only if the user has not downloaded or exported a resume. Once any resume has been downloaded or exported, including as a PDF or another supported file, the relevant purchase is final and no refund will be issued.

To request a refund before downloading or exporting a resume, contact contact@rockstarcv.com with the email address used for the account and the order details. We may review account, order, download, and export records when assessing the request.

This refund policy does not exclude or limit any refund, repair, replacement, price-reduction, withdrawal, or other consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to waive. If immediate digital access requires an acknowledgement that performance begins before a statutory withdrawal period ends, that acknowledgement will be requested separately where required.

7. Independent third-party services and systems

The Services depend on or interact with systems that RockstarCV does not own or control (“Third-Party Services”). These may include:

  • WordPress.com, Automattic, WordPress, WooCommerce, Jetpack, Akismet, hosting, content-delivery, security, email, analytics, and infrastructure services;
  • WooPayments, Stripe, PayPal, banks, card networks, wallet providers, and local payment methods;
  • OpenAI for optional AI Tailor processing;
  • Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Fonts, Bing, browsers, operating systems, PDF viewers, printers, internet providers, and device software;
  • employer websites, recruiters, social networks, job boards, applicant-tracking systems, and other linked sites.

Third-Party Services are independent and may apply their own terms, privacy policies, eligibility rules, fees, limits, moderation, fraud controls, availability, and technical requirements. They may change, suspend, block, delay, reject, or discontinue functionality without RockstarCV’s approval. A link or technical integration does not make RockstarCV the third party’s agent, employer, joint venturer, or guarantor.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RockstarCV is not responsible for the acts, omissions, decisions, content, security, availability, performance, outages, data handling, fees, or policies of independent Third-Party Services, or for losses caused by systems and events outside RockstarCV’s reasonable control. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms of every Third-Party Service you choose to use.

8. Availability, maintenance, and changes

We aim to keep the Services available but do not promise continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free access. Maintenance, updates, security events, provider outages, capacity limits, internet failures, force majeure events, or legal requirements may interrupt or change the Services. We may add, remove, or modify features and templates. Where a paid digital service is supplied over time, we will provide any notice and remedies required by mandatory law for a material adverse modification or lack of conformity.

You should keep independent copies of important resumes and exports. RockstarCV is not a permanent archival or backup service.

9. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • break the law, violate another person’s rights, impersonate anyone, or submit false or fraudulent information;
  • probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with access controls, purchase requirements, security features, rate limits, or service integrity;
  • introduce malware, scrape at unreasonable volume, reverse engineer where prohibited, or use automated means that burden the Services;
  • copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute RockstarCV templates, software, or paid access except as expressly permitted;
  • use the Services or AI features to generate deceptive, discriminatory, abusive, infringing, or unlawful material.

10. RockstarCV intellectual property

The Services, software, designs, templates, branding, text, graphics, and other materials supplied by RockstarCV or its licensors are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to payment and compliance with these Terms, RockstarCV grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased template or Service to create and use your own resumes for personal career purposes. No other rights are granted.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirements, material breach, or harm to users or the Services. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure. Mandatory consumer rights and rights accrued before termination remain unaffected.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” RockstarCV disclaims all implied warranties and conditions, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and compatibility. We do not warrant that the Services, templates, exports, AI output, or Third-Party Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accepted by a particular system, or suitable for a particular job or purpose.

This disclaimer does not exclude an express promise on a product page or any statutory guarantee, conformity right, or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RockstarCV and its owners, personnel, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss; lost profits, revenue, opportunity, employment, reputation, goodwill, or anticipated savings; loss or corruption of data; cost of substitute services; or losses arising from reliance on resume content, AI output, a hiring decision, an ATS, a Third-Party Service, unauthorized account use, or an event outside RockstarCV’s reasonable control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RockstarCV’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services and these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) US$100 or (b) the amount you paid RockstarCV for the specific product or Service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.

The limitations apply regardless of the legal theory and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose or a party was advised that a loss was possible. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, death or personal injury caused by negligence where it cannot be limited, violation of data-protection law where it cannot be limited, or any mandatory statutory or consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or caps, so the relevant limitation applies only to the extent permitted there.

14. Your responsibility for claims

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses and third-party claims resulting from your unlawful User Content, your infringement of another person’s rights, your fraud or willful misconduct, or your material violation of these Terms. This section does not require a consumer to compensate RockstarCV for conduct for which the consumer is not legally responsible.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where RockstarCV is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections of the country where you habitually live, and you may bring proceedings in any court available to you under mandatory consumer law. Otherwise, disputes will be submitted to a court with lawful jurisdiction over RockstarCV and the dispute.

Before filing a claim, please contact contact@rockstarcv.com and provide a brief description and requested resolution. This informal process does not shorten or waive any legal deadline or right to seek urgent relief.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, providers, security, or law. The updated Terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting an ongoing paid service will receive any notice and choice required by law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights already accrued.

17. General provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remainder will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights or account without our consent; RockstarCV may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale of the Services, subject to applicable law. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the product description, and any checkout disclosures form the agreement for the Services.
